YOGA PHILOSOPHY + MOVEMENT EFFICIENCIES

Looking for a little extra umph to get moving? Join Laura to be inspired by Abhyasa, Ahimsa & Pranayama.

In Yoga for movers we'll explore three yogic principles beyond the physical asana practice, and relate those concepts to key regions of the body for movement efficiency. Week one you'll focus on spinal articulation and stability, and Abhyasa the yogic concept of a focused practice. Week 2 will move to the shoulders and Ahimsa, compassion. The final week of the series will shed light on hips and Pranayama, breath work. All to bring you from feeling stuck to feeling supported.

Meets Tuesdays & Thursdays 12-1p and all sessions are recorded for on demand access.

 

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Laura Murawski (She/Her, Rochester NY)

Laura spent her younger years at the dance and yoga studios. She graduated with a BFA in dance from The College at Brockport, SUNY in 2018 and is currently teaching dance at Fitzsimmons, and is a company member of Frazee Feet Dance. Her passion for movement pushed her to become Yoga, Pilates and Barre certified after her undergraduate studies. She loves leading movement experiences and working closely with movers to build a connection through movement. Laura enjoys creative sequencing mixed with fundamental exercise to create a balanced class and body. She is currently preparing to attend Physical Therapy school to deepen her understanding of the human body in motion.
